Speaker: Dr. Tasmin Woolley-Barker
Program: "Designing For, With and As Living Things"
Dr. Tamsin is an evolutionary biologist, biological anthropologist, biomimicry pioneer, and the author of TEEMING: How Superorganisms Work to Build Infinite Wealth in a Finite World, an Amazon Bestseller in Organizational Learning, Environmental Economics, Ecology, and Animal Behavior–– a testament to the lively ecotones she inhabits.
Her work is focused on catalyzing a fundamental shift in the way we understand the world––from mechanistic efficiency-driven thinking to evolution-based design in all human endeavors. To that end, her current projects focus on facilitating living systems thinking in and applications for future and present leaders (including indigenous youth activists, change-makers, entrepreneurs, and organizational design strategists). She does this through an integrated spectrum of evolution-based frameworks and processes, including Biomimicry, Teeming for organizations, Regenerative Design, and Prosocial, delivered virtually and through wilderness immersions in the Panamanian cloud forest and California’s Anza Borrego Desert.
