LIFE WITH OUR FURRY, HAIRY, SCALY, FEATHERED FRIENDS
For those who have pets, or not, we know they are an indispensable and essential part of your life. They give us unconditional love and bring joy into our everyday lives. Vanitha Sampath and Lynn Dawson led this live and interactive session of Deeper Dialogue. Participants explored Life with their furry, hairy, scaly, feathered friends. Participants brought photos of their pet to the session or had them join in on Zoom.

Lynn Dawson moved with her husband to Novato in 2020 from their Denver home of 50 years to be closer to their son in San Francisco. She graduated from college with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and spent her entire career in the health care field. After college, she served as a therapist for the local community mental health center and, eventually, worked as the Director of Planning for Mental Health for the State of Colorado. She then worked for over 20 years in executive hospital management, including serving as CEO of three large specialty hospitals (psychiatric, rehabilitation, and sub-acute care) and two hospices. She was active in the local Chamber of Commerce Leadership Programs in Colorado. In Novato, she completed Leadership Novato in 2022 and currently sits on the Leadership Novato Advisory Board. As a longtime member of the Rotary Club, Lynn now serves as Chair of the Membership Committee for the Rotary Club of Novato. She also has served on the Board of the Women’s Club of Marin. Lynn is married to her first husband, whom she met in college. Her son earned his Bachelor’s degree from Yale, followed by an MBA and MS from Stanford University. The other significant family member is a standard tuxedo poodle, Paige. Lynn has been retired for about eight years.
