Gabriella C. Calicchio joined Marin Center in August 2014 as Director of Cultural Services. She has more than 20 years of nonprofit arts leadership experience in strategic planning, organizational assessment, fundraising, financial management, marketing, education, recruiting top level talent, board relations, and community engagement.
From 2011 to 2013 Calicchio served as Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Family Museum—a museum founded by Diane Disney Miller, Walt Disney’s daughter, to preserve and honor her father’s memory.
Prior to The Walt Disney Family Museum, she served as Managing Director of the Children’s Theatre Company in Minneapolis (2007-2011), one of the nation’s highest-profile children's theaters and the only company serving a young audience to receive the Tony Award® for outstanding regional theater.
Calicchio holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in drama and dance from Bard College, New York and a Master of Arts degree in arts administration and education from Lesley University, Cambridge, MA. She was a CSI Fellow at Stanford University for Executive Leaders in the Arts and a participant in the National Arts Strategies on strategy and finance. She was also a participant in the prestigious Wilder Foundation’s James P. Shannon Leadership Institute.
Gabriella and her husband live in San Anselmo, CA with their two children.
